In 2007 Portmore Golf Club and its members worked very hard to raise money and gifts to help local charities, this was a huge success when we raised over £5000.

A huge thank you goes out to all our members and the people that made this happen. Also to last years club captains Alan Huxtable and Margaret Yeo who helped raise £3000 which was split between their chosen charities - North Devon Hospice, Calvert Trust, and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The divided totals were:

Devon Air Ambulance - £800.00

Breast Cancer Research - £809.00

Children in Need - £559

Marie Curie Cancer Care - £1000

Calvert Trust - £1000

North Devon Hospice - £1000

Woman's Refuge - over 50 Easter eggs and 11 hampers of Christmas gifts

North Devon District Hospital - over 50 Easter eggs

We hope to make this year a great success too with the captains charities being R.N.L.Ifor Karen Thomas and Exmore serch and rescue for Paul Howard.
