Portmore men have won through to the 2nd round of the Palairet Trophy after an excellent 3 - 2 win at Teign Valley against Woodbury Park.

Having gone out at the 1st hurdle the past couple of years the team were determined to go through but had to battle hard against a very strong Woodbury Team.

All the team played their part but yet again it came down to the last match on the last hole and the final Portmore Pair of Richard Mallabone and Colin Brooks managed to make up and down from under a tree to secure the vital point.

The team now face Teign Valley at Libbaton on Sunday 1st June in the 2nd round.
