Portmore are celebrating more success after Amanda Webber and Alison West won the Devon County Doris Wills Little Foursomes Trophy.

Having battled their way through five rounds the pair found themselves with a score to settle against in the semi final which along with the final was held at East Devon Golf Club.

Their semi final opponents were Yelverton, the same pair who had beaten the Portmore ladies in the final last year. Amanda and Alison made sure that a repeat would not happen as they were out of the blocks quickly and soon established a five hole lead through the front nine playing some great foursomes golf. After a bit of a wobble through the middle of the back nine the pair composed themselves and eventually ran out 3&1 winners to set up a final against Dartmouth.

The final started with pairs trading holes early through the front nine and after 8 holes the Portmore ladies found themselves 2 down. But having the disappointment of losing last years final at the forefront of their mind the ladies dug in and battled back to take the match back to all square on the 18th tee. The duo played the last perfectly which left Amanda with a 2 foot putt to win the match, much to the delight of the pair and their vast travelling support the putt found the cup and the pair deservedly got to lift the Trophy they came so close to winning last year.
