The Portmore junior team have taken a big step towards retaining the North Devon Junior League title with victory in their last outing around their own course.
The win means that they can go to the last meeting at Ilfracombe on the 7th August and finish 4th or better to guarantee the league title.
The team amassed 157 points with Joe Southon top scoring with 42pts and James Poole scoring 40pts. The other to scores to count were Rich Wigley with 39pts and Dave Ashley with 36pts allowing the scores form Barney Meadowcroft and Sam Southon of 35pts and 33pts to be dropped from the team score.
In 2nd place were Torrington producing a great result whilst scoring 137pts.Top individual score of the day was an amazing 47pts recorded by Alex Phillips from Libbaton.
